The bus (MP 13 ZE 4895) was travelling from Omkareshwar to Ujjain with around 35 passengers on board. The accident occurred around 9.45 pm near a diversion while the vehicle was climbing from Choral towards Bheru Ghat. Police and rescue teams pulled out around 30 passengers using ropes and a crane (hydra) machine. The deceased have been identified as Padma Bai (45), Rahul (25), son of Ajay, and Two sisters among deceased Anita, wife of Ashok. Two bodies were sent to Mhow hospital, while Anita died during treatment at MY Hospital, Indore. The devastating chain collision unfolded near Loha Mandi when the dumper, allegedly driven by an intoxicated driver, raced out of control over a 300-metre stretch before crashing into a trailer. The impact left a trail of mangled cars, crushed motorbikes and lifeless bodies scattered across the highway — a grim tableau of destruction. At least twenty people, including thirteen women and a young Scan & Watch girl, were killed and several others injured when a gravel-laden tipper lorry collided head-on with a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus near Chevella in Ranga Reddy district on Monday morning. The accident took place on the Hyderabad–Bijapur National Highway when the truck, carrying gravel, rammed into a TSRTC bus from the Tandur depot. The bus, which was on its maiden trip, had many passengers on board. She was charged with selling the medicine, which claimed the lives of 27 children in the district. Jyoti Soni, wife of Dr Praveen Soni, who is in jail for prescribing the cough syrup, was on the run for two days. According to sources in the police department, there are allegations of destroying evidence of selling toxic cough syrup against Jyoti. Sub-divisional officer of police of SIT K Jitendra Jat said they had taken Jyoti into custody to question her.
