Additionally, the hostel administration also sealed the rooms of students involved in the incident on Sunday. The Commission has written to the Principal Secretary of the School Education Department to conduct an inquiry into the complaint, seeking an action taken report (ATR) within a fortnight. NHRC member Priyank Kanoongo said that the Commission got a complaint on September 26, alleging that the illegal conversion racket was operating in the state, tar- "We have unanimously agreed that the situation that is prevailing in Ladakh, keeping that in view, as long as peace is not restored and a conducive atmosphere is not created, we will not participate in any talks," Chhewang, a former two-time Member of Parliament, said at a press conference here. "We will urge the Home Ministry, UT administration, and the administration to take steps to address the atmosphere of fear, grief and anger that is there," he said.
