This comes in the wake of a petition by the SamanyaPichhdaAlpsankhyak Kalyan Samaj (SAPAKS), challenging the new promotion policy. The division bench of Acting Chief Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva and Justice VinaySaraf directed the state government to file its reply within a week. The matter willbe next heard on July 15. DSP (EOW) Nandini Sharma said that EOW officials received complaint that builders and buyers Vivek Chugh (M/s Exclusive Realty), Hitendra Mehta (M/s Seven Hearts Buildcon LLP), Ajay Kumar Jain along with sub-registrar Sanjay Singh and senior district registrar Amresh Naidu, manipulated land registry processes to undervalue property transactions. DSP Pawan Singhal inves- tigated the matter thoroughly and it came to light that buyers, with the help of stamp registration officers, purchased the land of a prominent colony DLF Garden City Manglia Road which was worth Rs 50,800 per square metre at Rs 14,200 per square metre. The officials uploaded the fabricated map and mentioned that the land is situated at Manglia village road, in place of posh colony. Due to fabricated details, the state government incurred a loss of Rs 13.32 crore and buyers got the profit of the same amount. The case was registered under sections 318(4), 61(2), 338, 336(3) and 340 of BNS and section 7(C) of Prevention of Corruption Act. Further investigation is underway. The predictive model, developed by ICMR's National Institute of Epidemiology (NIE) that was launched last week, aims to reduce the average time from diagnosis to hospital admission for severely ill TB patients, thereby bringing down the mortality rate further, said Dr Asha Frederick, State TB Officer of Tamil Nadu.
