Modi made the statement at the inaugural ceremony of the two-day Global Investors Summit in Bhopal on Monday. MP has all possibilities of becoming one of the five top states in the country, he said. Industrial houses were scared of setting up factories in the state 20 years ago because of poor condition of roads through which even buses had to struggle to move, but now, people can see the revolution of electric vehicles, he said. The successive BJP governments have transformed the state into a land of prosperity in the past 20 years, PM said. Modi gave the mantra of three ‘T’s’– textiles, tourism and technology – which are set to create innumerable opportunities in the coming days. “MP is the cotton capital of the country, and 25% of organic cotton is produced in the state,” he said. There are many national parks in the state, and wellness centres have splendid opportunities, PM said. “One can feel the real ‘Feel in India’ in MP,” Modi said and urged the investors to visit Mahakaal Lok. UP to SC: Well near Sambhal mosque is on public land PTI NEW DELHI The Uttar Pradesh government has informed the Supreme Court that the disputed "private well" near the Mughal-era Jama Masjid mosque in Sambhal was situated on public land. A status report was filed before a bench comprising Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Sanjay Kumar following a January 10 direction of the top court. "Petitioners are attempting to create private rights over a public well. The subject well is part of the 19 wells that are being revived by the district administration for inter alia, rainwater harvesting, water recharge and use by all communities," the report said. The announcement was made by Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade Jonathan Reynolds here. "Today, the Republic of India and the United Kingdom (UK) have resumed negotiations towards a trade deal between our two countries," a joint statement issued after the meeting said. Both sides have agreed to resume talks towards a balanced, mutually beneficial and a forward-looking deal that delivers mutual growth and builds on the strengths of the two complementary economies. MUMBAI A 34-year-old Thane-based woman, an aspiring actress, has filed an FIR against a rich businessman Shyam Sunder Bhartia and three others of rape multiple times, criminal intimidation and offences under the Atrocities Act. The FIR, of which The Free Press Journal has a copy, was filed on February 22 against businessman Shyam Sunder Bhartia, Pooja Kawaljeet Singh, her husband Kawaljeet Singh, and their daughter Mallika Kawaljeet Singh. The accused have also been charged under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, for allegedly abusing the victim over her caste. The victim belongs to the scheduled caste. According to the FIR, the complainant had been trying to enter the film industry for some 60,000 cr in a bio-fuel based project. The additional solicitor general further said that the 103rd Constitutional Amendment Bill shows that the purpose of legislature is only to provide a maximum 10% reservation to the economically weaker sections. A man was killed and several others injured in a clash Monday between a group of local people and air force personnel at an airbase in Bangladesh's Cox's Bazar, officials said.
