It was 20 months ago that Jwala gave birth to four cubs for the first time and of them, three had died due to health-related complications. Mukhi was too weak to walk and it was shifted to veterinary hospital for treatment. When Mukhi regained health, efforts were made to reunite it with Jwala but the latter refused to accept it. Since then, Mukhi is being raised under the care of forest officials. With this, currently there are total of 12 cheetah cubs in Kuno National Park. The number will increase further when the total number of cubs of Nirwah will be ascertained.
