Girls of a college received messages on their cell phones containing the obscene videos and photographs. Later, messages came on their phones in which a person posing as a police personnel orders that they (girls) are watching such material and it shall be told to their parents. The racketeer demanded the money ranging from Rs 2,000 to 20,000 from the girls. The puzzled girls shared their problem to their teachers of the college. The SP Aditya Singh said that two of the girls had paid the amount to the accused of the case. Based on the girls complaint the FIR had been registered against the accused of the case. The SP also added that it is not a case of sextortion, it is a case of cyber fraud. The technical team had started their investigations and shortly the accused will be arrested. He also added that the girls should not fear about any happening, they can share their problems to their parents and also to the police.
