Yadav is also holding meetings with the officers over the issues related to the state to complete some important work immediately after the election. The general election is going to end. So, Free Press spoke to Yadav to know about his experiences during the campaigning and other issues. Excerpts: FP: Nursing college scam has turned into a major issue. What are your plans for it? CM: The wrongdoers will face the music. Sixty-six unsuitable colleges have already been shut down. The police officers taking bribes were given the marching orders; and the government will follow the court’s decisions in letter and spirit. But of one thing we are sure – nobody will be spared. The BJP started its election campaigning with the slogan ‘Aab ki bar 400 paar.’ Where does the party stand after the polling? CM: Prime Minister Narendra Modi This time we are talking about 400 paar; the next time, our target will be to cross 500 seats, says Yadav. If the Congress has the guts it should make such a claim pledged to form a government in 2014. He fulfilled the promise. In 2019, the BJP gave the slogan of crossing 300 seats, and the party accomplished the mission. The BJP is going to win more than 300 seats and the NDA 400. The Congress says your claim sounds phony? If the Congress leaders have the guts, they should say they will win more than 500 seats. The Congress was not even seen in this election. The Lok Sabha has 543 seats, and, in the next election, the party will fix the target for 500 seats. Is this claim not a mind game that the BJP is playing with the opposition? It is not a mind game, but a concrete game. We are going to repeat our performance of 2019 in different states, including MP, Gujarat. Plus, our seats will increase in West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Will you be able to win all the 29 seats in MP as you have claimed? The Congress failed to put up a proper fight in all the 29 seats. The BJP lost the Chhindwara seat by a thin margin in the previous Lok Sabha election. The BJP will win all the seats this time. How will the party adjust the members from other political outfits in the organisation? In the BJP, one has to keep patience and remain disciplined. The party has its own norms. The newcomers will be imparted training. Gradually, everyone will soak up the party’s ideology and enjoy it. The government is completing six months. How satisfying your experience has been so far? Three months have passed since the Model Code of Conduct was enforced. Immediately after taking oath, we have made several important decisions. The government has acted against loudspeakers and stopped open sale of non-vegetarian food, like meat. The administration will work with efficiency in the com- Schizophrenic man kills 8 family members, ends life OUR STAFF REPORTER city.bhopal@fpj.co.in NEWS BRIEF Statutory bail to Sharjeel Imam NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday granted statutory bail to Sharjeel Imam in an UAPA and sedition case related to his alleged inflammatory speeches at Aligarh Muslim University and Jamia area against the CAA. CM Kejriwal was ordered to be released on interim bail till June 1 in view of the ongoing general elections in a money laundering case linked to the alleged excise policy scam. The apex court had directed him to surrender back to Tihar Jail on June 2. The registry said that the top court had already reserved its verdict in the matter and the application seeking a 7-day extension has no relation to the main petition. SEE PAGE 7 NEW DELHI: India successfully test-fired an airsurface anti-radiation missile from a Su-30MKI fighter jet. The RudraM-II anti-radiation supersonic missile is developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The flight test met all the trial objectives, validating the propulsion system and control & guidance algorithm. RudraM missile is the first indigenously developed anti-radiation missile designed to target enemy ground radars (surveillance, tracking) and communication stations in Suppression of Enemy Air Defence (SEAD) missions. The RudraM-II is the latest version after the mark-1 version was tested four years ago by Su-30MKI, the backbone of India's fighter fleet. An indigenously devel- oped solid-propelled airlaunched missile system, RudraM-II is one of the finest and meant to neutralise many types of enemy assets. India currently operates the Russian Kh-31, an anti-radiation missile. The Rudram missiles will replace the Kh-31s. "The performance of the RudraM-II missile has been validated from the flight data captured by range tracking instruments like electro-optical systems, radar and telemetry stations deployed by Integrated Test Range, Chandipur at various locations, including the on-board ship," a statement said. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO, IAF and industry on the successful test-flight of RudraM-II. The successful test has consolidated the role of the RudraM-II system as a force multiplier to the Armed Forces, he said. The missile can be launched from a range of altitudes and can pick up enemy radio frequencies and signals from radars from a range of over 100 km. The missile can operate in Lock-On-Before/After-Launch systems. The internal guidance system of the missile allows it to direct itself toward the target after the launch.
