MPCC president Jitu Patwari said the foul language used by the Chief Minister put up a question mark on his studies of mythology and on his educational background. SC curtails ED power To arrest an accused under Sec 19 of PMLA ONLINE REPORT NEW DELHI The Supreme Court on Thursday ruled that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) cannot arrest an accused who appears after special court summons in a Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) complaint, without seeking permission of such court, reports Bar and Bench. If ED wants custody of accused after the person responds to summons, it can do so after submitting an application to the special court. Anand Yadav and Deepika Sharma and others had filed 18 petitions in HC over 5 controversial questions asked in preliminary held in December 2023. HC found two questions of them controversial. Main examination will be on June 20 this year. In examination held in December 2023 it was asked that when did the Quit India Movement start? When was the second MP Election Com- mission formed? Four options were given for each of the two questions. Later PSC deleted the questions considering these four options wrong.
