As per reports, two groups came face to face in Makdon in the morning over the issue of vandalising the statue of former home minister of the country and iron man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Supporters of one group wanted to install the statue of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar in the area whereas supporters of other group reportedly installed Sardar Patel’s statue late on Wednesday . This angered the supporters of the first group whose supporters vanadalised Sardar’s statue early in the morning with the help of tractor and other equipment. Protesting against this step, the supporters of other group pelted stones on the supporters of first group whose supporters also retaliated later.
