Five children drown in pond Five children drowned in an artificial pond in Ramsinghpur of Rajasthan's Sriganganagar district while taking a bath on Sunday, police said. Two of them were siblings and the other three were cousins, they said. The tragic incident took place in Udasar village. All five of them were from labour families working in the fields. PG-7 1st monkeypox death in Kerala Country's first suspected monkeypox fatality has been reported from Kerala. A 22-year-old man, who died on Saturday at a Thrissur hospital from the infection, had tested positive while he was abroad. But the information was provided to the hospital authorities by the dead man's relatives only after his death. The state government has decided to set up a high-level panel to enquire into the death, PG-7 health minister said. NEW DELHI MP TO HOIST 1.50 CR TRICOLOURS Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' is turning into a mass movement and urged people to put 'tiranga' as profile picture of their social media accounts between August 2 and 15. In his Mann Ki Baat radio broadcast, Modi noted that under the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' programme to mark the 75th anniversary of India's Independence, a special campaign 'Har Ghar Tiranga' is being organised between August 13 and 15. He urged people to hoist or display the national flag at their homes during the campaign. "Let us further this movement by hoisting the National Flag at our homes," he said. Modi also urged people to put from August 2-15 tricolour as the profile picture of their accounts on social media platforms, noting that August 2 is the birth anniversary of Pingali Venkayya who had designed the flag. The prime minister also paid tributes to Udham Singh on his death an. niversary on Sunday BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday reviewed the preparation of 'Har Ghar Tiranga' (Tri-colours at every home) programme, a Centre's initiative to mark 75th anniversary of Independence Day. During the twoday campaign from August 13 to 15, fixed by the Centre, the Madhya Pradesh government has set a target to hoist 1.50 crore Tri-colours across the state. Out of total 1.51 crore tricolours to be hoisted, 51 lakh of them will be received from the Centre, while the rest one crore will be made in the state itself. Noting that there are many railway stations associated with the history of the freedom movement, Modi said 75 of them across 24 states have been identified and they will host several programmes. Modi also lauded Indian sportspersons for performing "exceptionally well" at several international events and said the month of July has been full of action when it comes to sports. Raut detained after day-long raids in land scam case MUMBAI The Enforcement Directorate (ED) probing a money laundering case on Sunday conducted a search at Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut's residence in suburban Bhandup for nine hours and questioned him before shifting him to the agency's office in south Mumbai in the evening, sources said. Raut claimed he was being framed based on "false evidence" but won't bow , down and quit the party shortly before being herded into the south Mumbai office of the ED. "They (ED) are going to arrest me. I am going to be arrested," Raut told reporters outside the ED office after he was brought there from his Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut being taken to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in connection with a money laundering case, in Mumbai, on Sunday PTI Bhandup residence. "Zukega nahi (won't bow down)," Raut said, putting up a brave front. Congress' Meanwhile, Bermo region MLA Anoop Singh lodged an FIR against these three MLAs at Argora police station in Ranchi on Sunday morning, accusing them of conspiracy to topple the state government. On Saturday evening, three Congress MLAs from Irfan Dr. JharkhandAnsari, Rajesh Kachhap and Naman Vixal Kongadiwere caught with bags of notes at Rani Haat of Panchla police station under Howrah district of West Bengal. When the notes were counted, the total amount was found to be Rs 48 lakh. These three MLAs were travelling in an SUV along with two other associates. On the basis of intelligence inputs, the West Bengal police caught them during checking. This SUV had the board of Jamtara MLA of Jharkhand. Although there is no suggestion of any wrongdoing by the Saudi family members, the revelation increases scrutiny on the 73year-old prince's charity organisations, which have been rocked by allegations of criminal wrong doing. Several of his advisers urged Charles not to take the donation from family patriarch Bakr bin Laden and his brother Shafiq -half-brothers of terror leader Osama -- according to sources cited by the paper. Charles, 73, agreed to the donation to the Prince of Wales Charitable Fund (PWCF) when he met with Bakr, 76, at Clarence House in London in 2013, despite objections of advisers from RNI No. mpeng/2010/35815 the trust and his office, the paper reported. Ian Cheshire, chairman of PWCF, said the donation was agreed by the five trustees at the time. British police in February launched an investigation into another of Charles's charitable foundations over claims of a cash-for-honours scandal involving a Saudi businessman. The head of The Prince's Foundation resigned last year after an internal investigation into the allegations. Michael Fawcett, chief executive of the foundation, had initially agreed to suspend his duties following newspaper revelations about his links to a Saudi national. The man, tycoon Mahfouz Marei Mubarak bin Mahfouz, had donated large sums to restoration projects of particular interest to Charles. Fawcett, a former valet to the Prince of Wales who has been close to Queen Elizabeth II's heir for decades, is alleged to have coordinated efforts to grant a royal honour and even UK citizenship to Mahfouz. The passenger had complained of breathing trouble and chest pain. First aid was given to the passenger inside the plane, but his health did not improve. After this the plane was landed at Raja Bhoj Airport. The pilot of the aircraft contacted the Air Traffic Control (ATC) unit of Raja Bhoj Airport at around 3:15 pm and sought permission for the landing. In view of the emergency , ATC made arrangements for the landing of the aircraft immediately The . flight landed at Raja Bhoj Airport around 3:30 pm. The passenger was immediately taken to a private hospital by ambulance. The passenger has been Haseen as identified Ahmed Khan, sources said. Navy man buys trousers, pocket lightened by Rs 1.18L 12 fraudulent withdrawals from debit card in two days, without OTP or PIN SURESH GOLANI Mumbai An Indian Navy personnel fell prey to cybercrime, losing more than Rs. 1.18 lakh when he went to buy a pair of trousers from a shop in Mira Road and paid for it using his father’s debit card. Two days later, however, the account/ cardholder had the shock of his life when he received twelve SMSs on his mobile phone about fraudulent withdrawals amounting to Rs 1,18,276 from his savings bank account, reportedly due to card cloning. The victim’s father also serves in the Navy. Notably, 11 of the 12 withdrawals were for the same amount—Rs. 10,023, from the account linked to the ATM card, without password one-time a (OTP) or personal identification number (PIN), indicating a card-cloning racket in operation in the twin-cities.
