Fortunately, both pilots ejected safely before the crash and were rushed to a nearby hospital for a medical check-up. According to the IAF's official statement on social media, the aircraft encountered a system malfunction while flying near Shivpuri, leading to the crash. Providing figures to illustrate the ongoing nature of the process, EAM Jaishankar shared: "In 2009, the number of deportees was 734, in 2010 it was 799, in 2011 it was 597, in 2012 it was 530, in 2013 it was 515, in 2014 it was 591 and in 2015 it was 708." He continued with the figures: "In 2016 it was 1,303, in 2017 it was 1,024, in 2018 it was 1,180, in 2019 it was 2,042, in 2020 it was 1,889, in 2021 it was 805, in 2022 it was 862, in 2023 it was 617, in 2024 it was 1,368, and in 2025 it is 104." The Minister highlighted the ongoing en- gagement with the US government to ensure the humane treatment of deportees during transit. The remarks followed the arrival of a US military C17 aircraft at Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport in Amritsar, Punjab, carrying the first batch of 104 illegal Indian immigrants, with the highest numbers coming from Haryana and Gujarat (33 each). Earlier, dozens of Indian Youth Congress (IYC) activists were detained by Delhi Police as they protested near Parliament against the alleged handcuffing of some of the 104 Indians deported from the US. The Additional Chief Secretary (ACS)-rank officers, who have been made divisional incharges, were asked to prepare the report. After Mohan Yadav took over the reins of power, he appointed ACS-rank officers as in-charges of divisions. Feedback about the government’s performance was taken from the public representatives through these officers. According to reports, all ACSs visited the constituencies and held meetings with the legislators. Besides these meetings, the ACSs held one-to-one interaction with the legislators. Each ACS prepared his report on the basis of this oneto-one interaction. Now, the report will be sent to the Chief Minister. The government will solve the problems of the legislators on the basis of the report. According to sources, during the one-to-one interaction with the legislators, several issues came to light. A few legis- Some of them say they had problems with ministers, while others say they did not get cooperation from the administration lators said that they were facing problems because of the attitude of ministers. The legislators also said that they were not getting cooperation from the district administration. The legislators voiced anger over the ban on transfers. The legislators told the divisional in-charges that the officers were not scared of the government because of ban on transfer. The divisional in-charges were also informed that the legislators were not able to meet the ministers. A few legislators also said they had always something to do with the SDMs, Tehsilders and police station in-charges. So, the legislators’ opinions should be taken for their transfers. Chief Minister himself holds meeting with the public representatives to review the progress work in divisions. Reviews have been recently done in all divisions. The Chief Minister sought feedback from legislators through the officers, who are the incharges of divisions.
