Dozens people were injured in the blast that took place on a busy evening when the area was milling with people. The injured were taken to the LNJP hospital a few kilometres away. Videos shared by the Chandni Chowk Traders' Association showed the magnitude of the blast. A body could be seen lying on a vehicle. Another video showed Narendra Modi condoled the deaths of 10 people in the blast outside the Red Fort metro station, while also hoping for the recovery of the at least 24 injured. "Those affected are being assisted by authorities. Reviewed the situation with Home Minister Amit Shah Ji and other officials," PM Modi said in a post on X. Her live-in partner, 25-year-old Qasim, who runs a cafe in the city, was detained for questioning after he allegedly fled the hospital where he had taken her in an unconscious state, said Khajuri Sadak police. According to police station in-charge Prateek Singh, Khushboo (27), originally from Bamora Mandi in Sagar and Qasim, a resident of Ujjain, had been in a live-in relationship for the past three years. They lived in a residential complex near Khajuri Sadak, where Qasim also ran a cafe. Now, the government is set to change the name of the Ladli Behna Yojana launched by the Chouhan-led government. 4Continued on | P8 4Continued on | P8 2,900kg explosives seized; 3 doctors among 8 arrested Arms and ammunition recovered in a joint operation by Faridabad and Jammu and Kashmir police from the rented accommodation of Muzammil Shakeel, a Kashmiri doctor and a teacher at Al Falaha University PTI SRINAGAR/FARIDABAD Eight people, including three doctors, were arrested and 2,900 kg of explosives seized with the uncovering of a "white collar" terror module involving the Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind and spanning Kashmir, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, officials said on Monday. Among those arrested following a 15-day operation were Kashmir's Dr Muzammil Ganaie in Faridabad and Lucknow's Dr Shaheen who was brought by air to Srinagar for custodial interrogation, officials said. An AK-47 rifle was found in her car. The joint operation by the police forces of Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana as well as central agencies have achieved a major breakthrough, officials said. They did not divulge details of exactly when the arrests took place. With this, the police has successfully thwarted the destructive designs of both the terror groups, the banned Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH), an offshoot of the ISIS in India. The 2,900 kg of explosive material includes ammonium nitrate, potassium nitrate and sulphur. Of this, 360 kg of inflammable material suspected to be ammonium nitrate and some arms and ammunition were recovered from Ganaie rented accommodation in Faridabad, said a statement from the Jammu and Kashmir police. 4Continued on | P8
