The exposure of the deal opened a Pandora’s box for the Pawars. The land in question is located in Mudhwa, adjacent to Koregaon Park, an upscale high-profile locality. As per the allegations that have surfaced, 40 acres of Mahar Vatan land belonging to the government is said to be worth ₹1,800 crore in the open market. It was sold to Amadea Enterprises LLP, in which Parth Pawar is a partner, for ₹300 crore, and the stamp duty of ₹21 crore on it was waived by the government authorities. The state government acted swiftly, immediately suspending Tehsildar Suryakant Yewale and Deputy Registrar Ravindra Taru, who handled the sale and registration process of the land. The FPJ spoke to the original landowners, who claimed they had been deceived. Sanket Gaikwad, a victim, said, "This property is under the custody of the government, but it is in the name of our ancestors. We have been cheated. As many 121 constituencies spread over 18 districts went to the polls. Women in large numbers turned out to cast their votes. Bihar chief electoral officer Vinod Singh Gunjiyal said votes were cast at 45,341 polling stations. An overwhelming number of polling booths (36,733) were in rural areas.
