The preliminary report revealed all the things that went wrong in the 94 seconds from the time the aircraft started rolling on the runway to the moment it crashed. The findings highlighted that the fuel supply to both the engines was cut-off for 12 and 13 seconds respectively, which led to the loss of power to both the engines. While the Ram Air Turbine (RAT), a small wind turbine installed on aircraft as a backup power source, started to provide hydraulic power five seconds after the cut-off, the engines started to progress to recovery only after seven and nine seconds, which was already too late to save the aircraft. 32 villages to be relocated to get land for Panna Tiger Reserve Interacting with Free Press, Field Director of Panna Tiger Reserve, Anjana Suchita said that around 6017 hectares of land would get submerged once Ken-Betwa project is completed. Union Aviation Minister K Ram Mohan Naidu on Saturday said that it is immature to jump to conclusions at the juncture over the recent Air India flight crash in Ahmedabad, as the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has only released the preliminary report. On June 12, a London-bound Air India flight, AI 171, crashed immediately after take off in Ahmedabad, killing 260 people. "So, let's not jump to any conclusions at this stage. Let us wait for the final report. These are technical things and that is why we have these investigation agencies. Once they are clear..., they are going to submit the final report. At this stage it will be very immature for me to comment on it," said Naidu. fp E-paper Readers’ Corner Why joint pain worsens in rainy season P.6 INITIAL FINDING | AAIB puts focus on fuel control lever, eliminates bird hit as cause MUMBAI MUMBAI Russian woman found in cave with two kids Vinay Madhava Gowda BENGALURU It began like a scene straight out of Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Book.
