The advisory said "digital arrest" is an online scam as "government agencies do not use platforms like WhatsApp or Skype for official communication". "Verify their identity by directly contacting the relevant agency," it recommended. It stressed that people should not transfer money "under pressure" as legitimate law-enforcement agencies "will never pressure you into sending money immediately". "If someone demands money over the phone or online, it's most likely a scam," it said. The police have registered a case, said police on Sunday. An unusual incident occurred in the Ram Temple on Saturday evening under the Salaslai police station, when the three Muslims came for work in a bank adjoining the temple and performed Namaz. Police station in-charge Janak Singh told Free Press that the pujari of the temple Omprakash Sharma filed a complaint with the police that three Muslims had performed Namaz in the temple premises. Police added that the three accused identified as Babu Khan, Rutam Khan and Akbar Khan all are more than 75 years old. Meanwhile when the time for namaz came, the three came to the temple premises and found a suitable place to perform namaz. The three first performed ‘Wazu’ (washing hands and feet before prayer) taking water from earthen pots kept in the premises and performed their prayer.
