Among the recruits, some men were appointed to the posts reserved for women. A candidate, Himadri Raje, filed a complaint at the High Court in Gwalior against the appointments. The HC delivered the judgment in favour of the petitioner and cancelled the recruitments. He was identified as Suraj Pawar (21) of Shriram Krishnabagh colony. One of the accused was caught by locals and handed over to the police Separate cases have been registered and police have launched a manhunt to nab his aide. According to reports two motorcycle-borne miscreants snatched mobile phone of delivery boy Sanjeev Jatav of Tapeshwari bagh Colony near Star Square and sped towards Robot Square. Jatav gave them a chase and raised an alarm. Meanwhile Suraj Pawar (21) had come to Robot Square along with his sister-in-law Manisha to buy milk. On hear- ing the alarm, Suraj tried to stop the two miscreants and even got hold of their motorcycle. However, after being pushed away by pillion rider, Pawar fell down and his head hit a road divider causing fatal head injury. He was rushed to nearby DNS Hospital where doctors pronounced him brought dead. Bystanders who rushed to the spot managed to nab one of the miscreants and handed him over to the Khajrana police. Khajrana police station in-charge Manoj Singh Sendhav told Free Press that Vikas Thakur was arrested while his accomplice Sitaram Chourasiya managed to flee from the spot. Two cases of mobile phone snatching and culpable homicide were registered against the accused and a search was on for Chourasiya.
