But the Leader of the Opposition indicated that the Congress is in broad agreement with the BJP-led government on other major foreign policy issues. This included relations with the US, no talks with Pakistan unless terrorism ends and concerns over extremist elements in Bangladesh. At a press conference at the prestigious National Press Club on Tuesday, Gandhi also asserted that he did not want any US role the US in India's internal affairs. So, I don't think Modi has handled China well. I think there's no reason Chinese troops should be sitting in our territory," Gandhi said. Search is on for rest Kamala Harris swings first debate in her favour ISLAMABAD Democratic Party presidential nominee Kamala Harris Tuesday night put up a stiff fight in the first face-to-face presidential debate against her opponent, Republican Party’s Donald Trump, clawing her way under his skin and throwing baits which a tired-looking former president unwittingly caught. There was no doubt who won as celebrity superstar singer Taylor Smith lost no time in endorsing Harris as the social media swung massively in favour of the vice president. She said in a post that the vice president “fights for the rights and NASHIK causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.” And registered voters who watched Tuesday’s debate voted 63% to 37% in favour of Harris saying she turned in a better performance, according to a CNN poll of debate watchers. Prior to the debate, the same voters were evenly split on which candidate would perform more strongly, with 50% saying Harris would do so and 50% that Trump would. This new poll marks a big reverse swing from the results of the first debate where Trump had Biden for ‘dinner’. Very unlike Trump, Harris had her moments of glory when she bluntly told her opponent on his face that she was not Biden. By this she indicated two things – that she cannot be easily run over and, secondly, she is on her own and had moved away from her boss, President Biden. Harris directly addressed Trump while the former president consistently refused to lock his eyes with her and only kept rolling his eyes looking up at the ceiling, showing signs of desperation. 4Continued on | P6 MUMBAI E-paper INCLUDING TRANSPORTATION Edit Rahul Gandhi has done it again P.8 Will protect 100 mn small retailers from e-comm: Goyal Army officers thrashed, female pal ‘gang-raped’ who was in the car.
