There was a landslide on railway track disrupting trains on Shahdol-Katni route. The rains also led to inundation of the Murna River bridge disrupting road connectivity between Kshipra swells, inundates temples Shahold and Umaria. According to locals, this bridge was inundated after 25 years. Similarly, Son River bridge was inundated on Shahdol-Rewa route. The condition of three workers is critical, said Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar Bansal. The explosion at Gaj Kesari Steel Mill, which occurred around noon, resulted in molten iron falling on workers, he said. Three workers were admitted to a private hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city in critical condition. During the meeting held in Delhi, information was taken about the well being of cheetahs kept in Kuno National Park. Discussion also took place on when to release the cheetah into open jungle. Though senior officials of state shied away fromanswering the question when cheetahs will be released into the wild, it is learnt that committee has decided to release cheetahs in phased manner that also after the monsoon season. He had been brought in for questioning for bike thefts. The 25-year-old, accused of multiple bike thefts, reportedly used a torn bedsheet to fashion a noose, climbed onto a bucket, and hanged himself from the window rod of the lockup. The incident, which occurred around 10 pm, has led to the suspension of four police personnel, including Pandhana police station incharge Vikas Khinchi, sub-inspector Himal Damor, and constables Narayan and Anil. A judicial inquiry has been initiated to investigate the circumstances leading to the tragic event. Dharmendra, who had been in police custody since August 21, was allegedly kept in the lockup for four days. During interrogation, he confessed to stealing 18 motorcycles, three of which were recovered, but denied involvement in the theft of Rs 20 lakh. The police claim that Dharmendra tore a bedsheet, made a noose, and hanged himself while on duty officers were present at the station. Actor Nagarjuna, approached the Telangana High Court seeking a stay on the demolition, and the court granted an interim stay. Nagarjuna in a post on 'X' said they had "not done any actions in violation of law" and the demolition was clearly carried out "wrongfully based on misinformation". The N Convention, jointly owned by actor Nagarjuna, being demolished in Hyderabad on Saturday The officials of Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA), GHMC, Town Planning, Irrigation and Revenue departments removed encroachments in the Full Tank Level (FTL)/Buffer zones of the lake, and amongst the many structures removed.
