Gohalpur police station in- spector Pratiksha Marco said, "Shyama was lying dead on the bed, while Shikha was found hanging from a ceiling fan. Shikha is a divorcee and her son is studying in Pune in Maharashtra. The bodies were found after neighbours alerted us about a foul smell emanating from the house." CBI raids NCL officials and suppliers in Singrauli Massive cash haul Our Staff Reporter BHOPAL CBI has conducted a raid against officials of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) and contractors on Sunday morning, said officials. A massive amount of cash and incriminating documents have been seized, say sources. The raids were carried out at the residence and offices of personal assistant to NCL CMD, as well as at the premises of other officials posted in the security department. The CBI also raided the residence of a supplier. The raids were based on information linked to NCL CMD's office, and investigations are ongoing at these locations. According to sources, CBI officials found cash of Rs 4 crore from the house and premises of NCL officials and the supplier's house. It is said that Rs 1.50 crore was seized from the supplier's house. Sources said that the supplier had inflated the price of the machinery and parts. The CBI raided the premises of S Ojha the Manager (Assistant) of the NCL CMD, residential premises of another NCL official who is posted in the security wing and the prominent contractor/supplier Ravi Singh, who supplies machines/spares to the public sector coal major. The driver of the car was arrested later, they said. According to the victim's family members, the car allegedly hit his cycle from behind and it was dragged on the road for several metres. The 35-year-old victim died on spot after the accident Saturday morning while the driver of the car, Pradeep Gautam (45) from Noida, fled from the scene with his vehicle, police said. The accident happened near Bhogal Flyover in Ashram area when the victim was on his way to work, they said. "The victim was identified as Rajesh from Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh," a senior police officer said. The officer said he worked as a gardener in Jor Bagh area.
