While Visakhapatnam received feedback from 6.52 lakh respondents, Indore stood second with feedback from 5.8 lakh people. As far as states are concerned, Madhya Pradesh with 34.63 lakh respondents leads whereas Andhra Pradesh remains a distant second with 19.32 lakh respondents. According to officials, Visakhapatnam received feedback from 6,52,477 people whereas Indore received feedback from 5,81,073 people. Bhopal stands third with feedback from 5,39,052 people. Of the 5.81 lakh respondents from Indore, 4 lakh used Swachhata app, over 1.80 lakh used Vote For Your City web portal and a mere 48 people used Vote For Your City app. Of the 6.52 lakh people from Visakhapatnam who gave their feedback, 4.43 lakh used Vote For Your City web portal, 86,000 people used Vote For Your City app and 1.31 lakh people used the Swachhata app. Last year also, Visakhapatnam had emerged as the No. 1 city in Citizen Feedback in the country and Indore had stood second, still, the latter went on to become the cleanest city for the sixth time in a row. Visakhapatnam stood fourth in Swachh Survekshan-2022. Feedback was obtained from the people through the ‘Swachhata’ app, Vote For Your City website and app. Respondents were asked to answer a questionnaire containing nine questions related to cleanliness. The questionnaire asked if garbage is being collected regularly and if it is being segregated at source. Questions on the maintenance of drains and public toilets were also asked. Initially, the last date for submitting feedback was August 7 which was extended till August 15 and then to August 30.
