Now in August it has again risen to 7 per cent due to rise in prices of vegetables, clothing, milk, cereal, footwear, and housing. This is the eighth consecutive month when retail inflation, which is measured on consumer price index (CPI), has remained above Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) tolerance level of 6 per cent. The EOW sleuths had found as many as 174 banks accounts with links to the Bishop, the officials said. On September 8, the EOW sleuths had conducted a raid at the house of Bishop PC Singh and found a huge amount of Indian and foreign currencies and several luxury items. When the search was conducted, accused PC Singh was in Germany and the police were keeping an eye on his movement. Superintendent of police, EOW, Devendra Singh Rajput said they had taken the help of various agencies, including the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), to monitor the movements of Singh upon his return from abroad. The police came to know that the accused would reach India and again fly abroad. "He took a flight from New Delhi to Bangalore and, from there, a flight to Nagpur, where the police detained him," the SP added. "Singh was taken into custody from the Nagpur airport for interrogation in connection with the cheating case registered against him," he said. He added that the police had brought the Bishop to Jabalpur and, after interrogation, arrested him.
