The Imran Khan-led government lost Pakistan's bid at the FATF because of its failure to comply with the requirements of the Paris-based watchdog. Pakistan, already facing severe economic and financial crisis, has been in the grey list since 2018. FB appears before JPC, Amazon refuses DATA PRIVACY NEW DELHI In a surprise move, Amazon has refused to appear before a joint committee of the Parliament next week, that is looking into the Personal Data Protection Bill, 2019 which empowers the government to ask companies for both anonymous personal and non-personal data. The e-retailer giant is scheduled to appear before the committee on October 28. This has irked the committee members including its Chairperson and BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi. Sources suggest that the committee which has 20 members from the Lok Sabha and 10 from the Rajya Sabha, is of the unanimous opinion that if Amazon representatives indeed fail to show up on the 28th, "appropriate actions" can be initiated against the US business giant. The three accused were carrying a pistol and knives. They had also tied hands of the security guard of the building where the family lives. They stayed inside the building for over three hours, took water from earthen pot in the house but did not take any valuable or money from there. The motive of the broad daylight robber is yet to be revealed as the car they had made off with was found dumped by police after an hour. The incident occurred in the housing board colony Quality at Value Pawan Nagpal at Kohefiza at 5.30 am. The building has Honda showroom from the ground floor to fourth floor and the victim lives on the top floor. Police have yet to lay hands on accused. Pawan Nagpal, 59, lives in five-floor building with wife Seema Nagpal and mother-in-law Nisha Sehgal. CONTD. When this flag comes back, we will raise that flag (tricolour) too. Until we get our own flag back, we won't raise any other flag...This flag forged our relationship with that flag." India’s first World Cup-winning cricket captain Kapil Dev underwent an angioplasty after suffering a heart attack here on Friday but is “well on the road to recovery” and likely to be discharged in the next couple of days. The 61-year-old, who is based in Delhi's Sundar Nagar area, complained of chest pain on Thursday following which he was taken to Fortis Escorts Heart Institute in Okhla. “Dev suffered a heart attack. He was evaluated and an emergency coronary angioplasty was performed in the middle of the night,” the hospital said in an updated health bulletin after only mentioning chest pain in its initial statement. “Current, ly he is admitted in ICU and under close supervision.
