He announced that a telephone conversation was going to happen between him and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to work out the next steps in taking the trade negotiations forward. Prime Minister Modi gave a measured positive response to this following which the American President urged European allies to impose a 100 per cent tariff against India. “I am pleased to announce that India and the United States of America are continuing negotiations to address the Trade Barriers between our two Nations.
