A man slit the throat of a 23year old woman in full public view, when she was waiting for a bus in Balaghat district on Tuesday, said police. Roshan Sarve He was annoyed as the woman had ended their fiveyear relationship. SDOP Karandeep Singh informed that the jilted lover was identified as Roshan Sarve, 25, resident of Moti Nalain Mandala district. The victim was a resident of Aamgaon village under Baihar police station. On Tuesday, at around 10.15 AM, she was waiting for a bus, when the accused reached the bus stop. They had a heated argument and Sarve started stabbing the girl with a knife. SDOP Singh added that both were known to each other and had been in a relationship for some years. The relationship went sour and hence the woman did not want to marry the accused. The accused had been taken into custody and further investigation was ongoing, he said. The trial began at the court of the additional deputy commissioner (Judicial), Shillong, where the court summoned Vipin, the complainant and brother of the deceased, to present his evidence.
